Fantastico makes WordPress installation very easy and installation is completed within 1-2 minutes only. It just need 2-3 clicks. But fantastico don’t always have the latest version ready for installation. In those cases, we need to do manual installation. Manual installation is also very easy but can take time if your internet upload speed is slow.

Mainly the time is consumed by uploading of WordPress installation files. But you can save upload time by these simple steps.

1. Upload the WordPress zip file in public_html folder. The size of zip file is about 2.4MB while the size of WordPress after extract is around 9MB.
2. Login in cPanel, and click “File Manager”
   
3. Select “web root (Public_html/www)” and click “Go” button.
   
4. Select the zip file and click on the extract button.
   
5. All files will be extracted in a new folder name “wordpress”. Move these files to public_html folder if you want to install WordPress on main site.
6. Now create a new database, database user and complete the installation process.

This will save your lots of time to install WordPress manually.
